Images of demons and gods from all over Japan are delivered through masks ！.

For a long time, people and local communities have believed that some kind of divine spirit or its work is responsible for events beyond human power or knowledge, whether happiness or misfortune. The god of fortune who brings happiness is often depicted as an old man, while the spirit that brings illness and disaster is often represented as an ogre with a frightening appearance. In reality, however, the appearance of the deities varies from region to region and from period to period. For the Japanese, these forms have been formed under the influence of Buddhism and Chinese folk culture, both of which are foreign religions.
Whether happiness or misfortune such as epidemics and disasters, it has been believed that the divine spirits come from the other world.
